Investment Banking Salary for Analyst and Associate

By Tommy / Posted on 22 June 2010

Careers In Finance offers an excellent article on Investment Banking Salaries. Check out their article if you are interested in Investment Banking. The article also offers other links to great resources on compensation in the Investment Banking field. I thought I would take the opportunity to turn the data I found at Careers In Finance into some charts to give prospective iBankers some visuals. This chart is for the salaries of 1st and 3rd year Analysts as well as 1st and 3rd year Associates. Careers in Finance states that a Bachelor’s degree is required to become an analyst, and, most often, an MBA is required to become an Associate.

For salary information on Vice Presidents and Directors, please visit Part 2, and for salary information on Managing Directors and Department Heads, please visit Part 3.

Wow, I guess two years really separates the men from the boys salary-wise.

It’s a good idea to see where you can expect to be at with pay a couple of years down the road when you start a new entry level job. Try punching in “banking salary“.
